Sue Brooks was born in Pyramid Hill, Victoria, in 1953. She worked in a medical company before deciding to study film and television. Her directing credits include the features films Road to Nhill (1997) and Japanese Story (2003), which won eight ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓÆµ Film Institute Awards.
